Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Dreamuna ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of dreamuna.com. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using Dreamuna, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

§ 1. Agreement to terms

You confirm that you are legally able to enter into a contract and that the information you provide is accurate. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout, are the complete agreement between you and Dreamuna.

§ 2. The service

Dreamuna is an AI-powered dream-interpretation service. You submit a short description of a dream; we generate an interpretation, an optional illustrative image, follow-up chat, and an optional audio narration. The service is for personal reflection and entertainment — it is not therapy, medical advice, mental-health treatment, legal counsel, or financial guidance.

Dreamuna is reflective companionship, not a substitute for a licensed professional. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to a qualified professional or your local helpline — for example, 988 (US), Samaritans 116 123 (UK / Ireland), Telefonseelsorge 0800-111-0-111 (Germany), CVV 188 (Brazil), or findahelpline.com for other countries.

§ 3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Dreamuna. Before the dream quiz we require a 16+ self-declaration. If you are between 16 and the age of majority in your country, you confirm that your legal guardian is aware of your use of a paid subscription service. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where the age requirement is not met.

§ 4. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials safe. You agree to notify us at hello@dreamuna.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You may also use Dreamuna briefly without an account via an anonymous session cookie; when you sign up, we merge that session onto your new account so no journal entries are lost.

§ 5. Subscription plans, trials, and billing

Dreamuna is a paid subscription. Prices, billing cycles, and trial terms are shown at checkout and confirmed in your welcome email.

• § 5.1 Three-day $1 trial. When you start a trial, your card is charged $1 USD up front — this is a real charge, not a hold. It grants immediate access to the service for three days.
• § 5.2 Auto-renewal. At the end of the trial, your card is automatically charged the plan price you selected at checkout — $9.99/week or $29.99/month (or the local-currency equivalent shown at checkout, plus applicable taxes). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.
• § 5.3 Billing day. Your billing day is the calendar day on which your trial converts to a paid subscription. Subsequent charges occur on that same day of the week (weekly plan) or of the month (monthly plan). If the day does not exist in a given month (e.g. the 31st in February), we bill on the last day of that month.
• § 5.4 Trial reminder. We send an email reminder before your trial converts to a paid renewal.
• § 5.5 Taxes. Prices shown are exclusive of applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST, which are added at checkout based on your billing country. Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, handles collection and remittance.
• § 5.6 Price changes. If we change subscription prices, existing subscribers are notified by email at least 14 days before the next renewal at the new price. You may cancel before the change takes effect at no charge.
• § 5.7 Mobile-store purchases. If you ever subscribe via a mobile app store (Apple, Google), billing and cancellation are governed by that store's terms and prices may differ due to store fees.

§ 6. Cancellation

You can cancel any time from your Account page, from the customer-portal link in any receipt email, or by emailing hello@dreamuna.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep full access until then and are not refunded the current period. Cancelling Dreamuna is no harder than signing up, in line with the US FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule and the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.

§ 7. Refunds

Refund rules are set out in our Refund Policy. Short version: the $1 trial fee is non-refundable once trial access has been provided; renewals are generally non-refundable once the billing period has begun; but we refund in good faith for technical failure, billing errors, unauthorised charges, and accidental renewals caught within 48 hours. Statutory consumer rights (e.g. EU 14-day withdrawal) are addressed in § 5 of the Refund Policy and are not waived by these Terms.

§ 8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Dreamuna in the following ways:

• Submit, store, or request content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or designed to harm others.
• Harass, threaten, or attempt to identify other users via shared content.
• Scrape, crawl, spider, or use automated tools against the service beyond our documented rate limits.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, probe, or attempt to extract underlying AI prompts, model weights, or proprietary logic.
• Resell access to your account, share credentials, or use a single account for an organisation.
• Bypass security, authentication, rate-limiting, payment, or age-gate mechanisms.
• Pass off AI-generated content as your original professional or creative work product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund for the period affected by the violation.

§ 9. Your content

You retain ownership of the dream descriptions and messages you submit. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your content solely to provide the service to you — that is, to generate your interpretation, run the chat, render your journal, generate the dream image and audio, and deliver the reveal-series emails. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for backup copies which are purged within 30 days.

We do not sell your content, we do not use your dream content to train third-party AI models, and we do not use your dreams for advertising.

If you choose to publish a dream to a public share URL (/d/[slug]), you grant us an additional licence to display that content on the public share page and in any social-preview image until you revoke the share from your Account page.

§ 10. Our intellectual property

The service, including the website, code, branding, name "Dreamuna", design system, prompt library, and AI-generated interpretations as arranged and rendered by us, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for personal reflection. All other rights are reserved. You may not remove or obscure any copyright or trademark notice.

§ 11. AI-generated content disclaimer

Interpretations, chat replies, dream images, reveal-series emails, and audio narrations delivered by Dreamuna are generated by an AI system, primarily OpenAI's API. Output is synthesised from general psychological, cultural, and symbolic references and may contain errors, hallucinations, omissions, or framings that don't fit your situation. We make no warranty that any output is accurate, complete, therapeutic, or suitable for any particular purpose. Per Article 50 of the EU AI Act, we disclose this AI origin clearly. Nothing we generate is medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or professional advice. Treat it as one perspective among many; the dreamer remains the final authority on what a dream means.

§ 12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it. By using the service you confirm you have read and understood that policy.

§ 13. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties — Supabase, OpenAI, Lemon Squeezy, Resend, Vercel — listed in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their independent acts or omissions; each operates under its own terms of service, to which you also agree insofar as your use of the service involves them.

§ 14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from your Account page or by emailing hello@dreamuna.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, fail to pay for a confirmed subscription, or where required by law. On termination, any licence you granted us to process your content ends, except for content already shared publicly that you have not revoked, and except for records we are required by law to retain (typically transaction records for 6 to 10 years).

§ 15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or accuracy of AI-generated content. We do not warrant that the service is error-free or that it will meet your specific expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dreamuna is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100. Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any consumer-protection right that cannot be waived under applicable mandatory law.

§ 16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dreamuna, its operator, and its sub-processors from any third-party claim arising out of (a) content you submitted in breach of these Terms, (b) your use of the service in violation of law, or (c) your breach of another party's rights. We will tell you promptly of any such claim and you have the right to assume defence with counsel of your choice, subject to our approval (not unreasonably withheld).

§ 17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or related to these Terms, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts and under your local law — in which case we respect that right.

§ 18. Dispute resolution

Before filing a claim, please email hello@dreamuna.com with a short description of the issue. We commit to engage in good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days. Most issues are resolved at this step.

If you are an EU consumer, you can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We prefer to resolve disputes directly but will participate in ODR where required.

§ 19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves or the law changes. Material changes (price, refund rules, liability cap, governing law) are announced by email and a site-wide banner at least 14 days before they take effect, and you may cancel before the change applies. Non-material edits (clarifications, typos) are made silently; the "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

§ 20. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer or assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to a successor entity (e.g. in a corporate reorganisation) on notice to you. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy together form the entire agreement between you and Dreamuna, superseding any prior agreements on the same subject.
