Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Dreamuna ("we", "us", "our"), an independent digital product operated from the European Union. The service is published at https://dreamuna.com and through any official Apple App Store or Google Play app we publish under the Dreamuna brand. By creating an account, taking the dream quiz, or subscribing, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Dreamuna and confirm this before submitting your first dream. The service is not intended for minors under 16. If you are under 16 and have created an account, please email us and we will close it.
2. Account
You may use Dreamuna anonymously (a session cookie holds your dreams) or create an account with email + password, Google, or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity under your account. Email us at hello@dreamuna.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Dreamuna is a paid subscription. The price, billing cycle, and trial terms shown at checkout become part of these Terms when you subscribe. Unless stated otherwise, prices are quoted in USD; your payment processor may charge a local-currency equivalent at the conversion rate that applies on the day of the charge.
When you start a trial, your card is charged the displayed trial fee up front (currently $1 USD, or local-currency equivalent). At the end of the trial your subscription renews automatically at the plan price you selected and continues to renew until you cancel. We send a reminder email a couple of days before the trial converts. Prices are exclusive of any sales tax, VAT, or GST that your country applies; the payment processor adds those at checkout.
If we change subscription prices, existing subscribers are not affected for the current period. We notify you at least 30 days before any future renewal at a new price.
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by Apple or Google according to their respective terms; their refund and cancellation rules apply to those purchases.
4. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel any time from your Account page or via the customer-portal link in any receipt email. You can also email hello@dreamuna.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
EU 14-day cooling-off. If you live in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 calendar days of your first paid charge under Directive 2011/83/EU. Email us within that window to exercise this right. By starting a trial or generating interpretations, you consent to immediate digital-content provision; once you have materially used the service (more than two interpretations), the digital-content exception in Art. 16(m) of the Directive may apply. We assess this in good faith.
Outside the cooling-off right, we refund renewal charges in good faith for technical failures, billing errors, unauthorized subscriptions (please also report to your bank), or accidental renewals you flag within 48 hours and have not materially used. Trial fees are non-refundable because trial access was provided. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method by our payment processor (merchant of record) and typically arrive within 5–10 business days. Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — it gives us a chance to fix the problem.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes self-harm or violence.
- Harass, threaten, or attempt to identify other users via shared content.
- Scrape, crawl, or hammer the service beyond our documented rate limits, or attempt to extract our prompt library.
- Resell access or share credentials.
- Bypass authentication, payment, age-gate, or rate-limit mechanisms.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund for the period affected.
6. Content policy & reporting
Dreams are private by default. When you choose to share one publicly via a /d/… share link, the rules above apply to that share. We have zero tolerance for content that sexualises minors and report to NCMEC where legally required.
If you see content on Dreamuna that breaks these rules, a third-party right, or the law, email hello@dreamuna.com with the URL of the content and a short factual description. We handle reports under the EU Digital Services Act (Art. 16) and reply with a reference id you can quote in any follow-up. Most reports are reviewed within one business day for urgent categories (CSAM, self-harm, threats), and within three business days for others.
7. Your content & our IP
You retain ownership of the dream descriptions and messages you submit. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, and display that content for the sole purpose of running the service for you (generating your interpretations, rendering your journal, sending the emails you've consented to, processing public shares you opt into). We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
The service itself — including the website, code, branding, the name "Dreamuna", design system, and prompt library — is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it except as plainly permitted by these Terms.
8. AI-generated content
Dreamuna's interpretations, chats, dream-symbol articles, images, and audio narrations are AI-generated. AI output can be wrong, generic, or off-target — treat any reading as one perspective, not a verdict. Dreamuna does not replace a therapist, doctor, or any licensed professional, and any specific advice you act on is your own decision.
We don't use your inputs to train the underlying models, and we run automated moderation to keep harmful prompts out of the pipeline.
9. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from your Account page or by emailing hello@dreamuna.com. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these Terms or if continued service is no longer commercially or legally viable. Some clauses (intellectual property, disclaimers, governing law, dispute resolution, content already published to a public share link) survive termination.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence, including any right to a remedy for non-conforming digital content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dreamuna is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not apply to liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law & disputes
If you live in the European Union, UK, or EEA, the consumer- protection laws of your country of residence apply, and disputes may be heard in your local courts. Outside those regions, the laws of the European Union member state where we are established apply, to the extent permitted by your local mandatory law.
Before filing a claim, please email hello@dreamuna.com. We try to resolve issues directly within 30 days. EU consumers may also contact an alternative dispute-resolution body in their country of residence.
12. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms as the service evolves or the law changes. Material changes (price, refund rules, content policy, AI scope, dispute resolution) are emailed to active subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms? Email hello@dreamuna.com — a human replies within one business day.
13. Accessibility statement
Dreamuna is committed to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA and are partially conformant today.
Some surfaces — mobile menu controls, certain dynamic status announcements, and a small number of form labels — are still being brought up to full conformance. We track accessibility issues internally and welcome reports of any barrier you encounter.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email hello@dreamuna.com — we aim to respond within five business days. EU users who are unsatisfied with our response may contact the disability-rights authority in their member state under the Web Accessibility Directive (EU 2016/2102) and the Accessibility Act (EU 2019/882).
